A Problem We Couldn't Ignore
Vazaro was born from a simple but urgent observation: the UK security industry was broken in plain sight.
We Saw the Problem
Businesses were hiring security professionals with little more than a quick phone call and a photocopy of a licence. No real vetting. No accountability. No way to know if the person turning up had the training, the character, or even a valid SIA licence. The industry was running on trust that hadn't been earned.
We Listened to Professionals
On the other side, skilled and dedicated security professionals were being undervalued — underpaid, underutilised, and invisible to the clients who needed them most. Their experience, their qualifications, their reliability — none of it was being recognised or rewarded. They deserved better.
We Asked the Hard Questions
Why is there no single platform where clients can find verified, insured, SIA-licensed professionals with confidence? Why can't professionals build a reputation that follows them? Why is escrow payment — standard in every other marketplace — completely absent from security staffing? We couldn't find a good answer. So we decided to build one.
